MATT JONES - MANAGING DIRECTOR

MATT HAS BUILT THIS COMPANY ALONG WITH HIS BROTHER EVER SINCE 2004. WHEN THEY FIRST STARTED IT WAS VERY MUCH A HANDS ON APROACH TO RUNNING THE VENUE. MATT LIVED IN A FLAT ABOVE OUR FIRST VENTURE, BAR 166 IN HORSFORTH, AND WORKED EVERY SHIFT IMAGINABLE TO BRING THE BUSINESS FORWARD.

BEN JONES - FINANCE DIRECTOR

BEN STARTED THE BUSINESS WITH MATT BACK IN 2004 - HE WORKED IN BAR 166 RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING AND WAS INTEGRAL TO THE GROWTH. BEN SPECIALISES IN FINANCE AND RUNS THAT SIDE OF OUR BUSINESS ONA A DAILY BASIS

JOHN CROWE - GROUP OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

John started working with the company in 2004 as a waiter at Bar 166 & Bistro. He was working part time whilst studying and fell in love with hospitality. He worked with some of the best people in the industry at the time and learnt a lot there. He then worked his way up through a supervisor to Assistant Manager.  


Within his time at Bar 166 he also worked at our other venues that we had at the time. He has ran a country side bed and breakfast in North Yorkshire, a cocktail bar in Huddersfield and a Steak House in the centre of Leeds.


He then moved on to run Brooklyn Bar as the General Manager before moving back to Bar 166 as the General Manager for 2 years.


He helped to set up and run Roxy Ball Room Leeds as the General Manager for the first 2 years of trading. Within this time John learnt a lot about running a leisure led business and implemented a lot of the things we are still using today.

He then ran both Roxy Ball Room Leeds and Roxy Lanes as the general manager of both. From here he has worked closely with Matt and Ben to set up Roxy Ball Room Liverpool, Manchester, Huddersfield and Nottingham as the Project Manager where he set up the teams, the processes used and works closely with the managers.

JOEL MITCHELL - BRAND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Joel is responsible for making sure that the brand stays on track and developing it into an even bigger powerhouse than it is now! 

Through Digital Marketing, Content Marketing, Public Relations & Training he is committed to keeping the levels of service high and continuing to grow the brand on a daily basis.

He is also our resident Social Media guy and is always happy to answer any questions and give training whenever you need him to.

As with all of our management team - Joel has been in your shoes before! With over 15 years of hospitality experience starting as a waiter right through to today.

From being a waiter he then went on to do lot's of roles within hospitality

Starting with being a bartender, Assistant Manager, Bar Manager, Deputy General Manager, General Manager, Group Bars Manager, Groups Bar Trainer,  and now, Brand Development Manager

MICHAEL CRAYFORD - OPERATIONS MANAGER FOR ROXY LEISURE

Mike began working for Matt and Ben under the Jones Bar Group banner in 2009 and has since held many roles throughout the company in various locations.

After a successful (and insane) 2 years running Brooklyn Bar on Call Lane he was invited to join the Roxy Leisure group and take the helm at Roxy Ball Room Leeds. From there he has seeked every opportunity to grow and move with the company and been fortunate enough to run our sites in both Liverpool and Manchester.

Throughout this time Mike has developed great relationships amongst staff members, managers and our employers. His understanding of these businesses on a day to day to basis is incredibly in depth and there'll very rarely be a situation within a venue that he hasn't experienced first hand.

Within his new role he will be providing support for the General Managers and their teams to ensure our standards of service remain consistent and high across the brands. he will be based across the sites on a daily basis and make himself widely available as means of communication between the venues and senior management.

This is something that Mike has been working toward for several years now and he can't wait to get stuck in and see Roxy Leisure become a house name within City Centres and bring the party every time. Game On!

BOB DE BROISE - SENIOR SALES MANAGER & FOOD OPERATIONS

Bob has had the pleasure of being part of the Jones Bar Group/Roxy Leisure family for over 6 years, and what initially started as a casual bar tending job, soon developed into a career in hospitality.

Through his employment, He has been involved in everything from pulling pints and waiting on tables, to fixing bowling alleys and cooking fondues all the way through to venue management.

Over his time working under the Jones Brothers, Bob has served customers across 7 sites (10 if you include a couple of pop up consents) this has given him a variety experience in both food and drinks led businesses.

In his role as Senior Sales Manager, Bob will be working directly with the Front of House Managers in each venue driving our bookings and ensuring that we can increase turnover across the board.

In addition to this he will also be overseeing Food Operations, working closely with the Chefs and Front of House teams to guarantee that our high standards are not only met, but pushed so that we can be proud of our food offering
